Swept Away in the Karmic Current Where did you go? There is a bit of dichotomy when it comes to karma. On one hand, you could easily think of karma as density. Or, perhaps, viscosity. If we think of the density aspect, we could see those who have loaded up their psyche with karma, as having a very dense energy. They are “heavy” with karma and thus it is very difficult to move (change) where they are. Or perhaps, the viscosity aspect could be thought of as standing in an empty swimming pool. Say, perhaps, the goal is to just walk 20 feet. If the pool is empty, it is an effortless success. Then by adding water (karma) up to the waist, well then, the effort is greater. Then again, imagine the water up to your neck. Perhaps much more energy is needed. But then, let’s even change the viscosity,…

The Great Transformation Where are You going? You might imagine the 1950’s. A white-picket-fence kind of living. Where the roles and the expectations of (pretty much) everyone was identical. Where you had well-defined examples of “how to fit in” with the culture. It reminds me of the notion of a religious template. A template of “God’s expectations.” If you could train yourself to live a “righteous life,” then God would find favor with you and grant you access to heaven. To imagine a “perfect” world where how we are to behave was so well-defined. But a static unchanging idea of living is perhaps the truest definition of blasphemy there is. There was immense folly in such static notions of life. In the 1950’s, as a young boy (no, I am not THAT old) you were expected to suck it up. To not show emotions. If you fell and scraped your…

Single Savior System Is One Savior going to be Enough? It is a curious thing. Really. How many religions put all their hope in their (Single) Savior? Their Big Guy. When HE returns, well, he will kick sin’s ass all the way to hell. Is it Muhammad? Jesus? Buddha? Krishna? Every religion has their pinnacle-person. Don’t get me wrong, Jesus, from my perspective, is someone I look to in order to know what embodying Love can look like. He also said that you and I will do EVERYTHING that he has done, and even MORE too. So give this a think … Every single savior from every single religion that has ever existed in our recorded history, has not ended war, suffering or pain on this planet. All of them have come and gone, and we still have quite the karmic quagmire here on planet Earth. When Jesus left the…

Casting your vote for the future When we consider the truth of who we really are, we come to a point of personal empowerment. When we reach that point of self-love, then we do not want to participate in anything that doesn’t honor ourselves. When we are talking about an individual, it can be a relatively easy thing to do. Just say “No” to what doesn’t feel right. But on the collective level, things get a little different, because we all have free will. It is not congruent to force a thought or belief on anyone else, just as it is not appropriate for another to do that to you. The idea of personal sovereignty is a place of sacred ground. Personal sovereignty comes into play when we are talking about your own relationship with God/Source/Creation. And no human being can leverage that space without corrupting their personal sovereignty. When…
