Resolving Your Past to Own Your Future It’s all in your hands There is a shift that happens within ourselves, when we choose to evolve. As we intend to grow ourselves spiritually. For many of us, the spiritual path wasn’t always in our life. For some, perhaps it was. But for many of us, we “found” our own innate desire to grow ourselves spiritually. If you were to look over your life, you might notice key events, moments or people, who would end up significantly changing your life’s direction. Some for the “better” and some for the “worse.” It is said that as we evolve our consciousness, we gradually take more and more responsibility for our life. Where we might have “blamed” the past for the reason we are where we are. For myself, I certainly had some very challenging situations in my life. One of these events, that ultimately…

The Winds of Change are Blowing Time to adjust the sails What a time to be alive, eh? I know not everyone sees these times as a “positive.” There has been so much change over the last few years. And with it has come many struggles and challenges of all sorts. How is it that we can navigate so much change, and still come out with our sanity? It might depend on “You.” Who are “You?” I know it is a simple question, but the “You” I am referring to is who you know yourself to be. In other words, if I were to ask you to list who you were, in a list of titles, what would you write? You might write … I am an engineer, husband, father, spiritual author, etc. The more I am “vested” in those labels, the more “pain” I will feel if those aspects…

The “Value” of the Human Persona? Sell me this “pen.” Does it feel like you are living in a circus of sorts? Like there is a tug-of-war going on? So many people want control of the collective’s narrative. Not only the control of the collective, but that ultimately means you too. People want a “piece of you.” Could it be because you are the (Divine) Creator incarnate? If what you put your attention on … expands, then what I can get you to put your attention on … would expand too. What I get you to put your attention on (I am playing the role of the villain in this example) is more likely to be part of our future. In other words, mass communications become a virtual “mass consciousness” of creation. Oftentimes without the participants realizing it. “YOUR WORD IS YOUR WAND. THE WORDS YOU SPEAK CREATE YOUR OWN DESTINY.” ~ Florence Scovel…

Your Divine Human Blueprint What shall You become? In a way, we are a long way from “home.” But it isn’t that we are gone. We chose, as Souls, to “go for a trip.” And what a long strange trip it has been. As I prepared for this week’s podcast, I recognized an aspect of the evolution of our consciousness. We have collectively been “living” with our awareness on the physical world. And that has served us very well. But I think there is a possible snag. I say snag, because we are never stuck. What I mean by snag could also be said as a karmic detour. If we, as a collective, keep our attention and our sciences on the physical world, we will miss, perhaps, the Divine idea of BEing an evolved human being. The Divine has you all set for quite the evolutionary journey. You already have…

Eat the Ice Cream We are here for the Human experience. What is it like to live life as a human BEing? Life is short … eat the ice cream. Ok, I know if all we do is eat ice cream, then perhaps our life would be short(er). ;- ) But there is a richness that is missed by millions and perhaps billions of people. Although it is available to all, our collective societies have some built-in stigmas. Perhaps not ALL cultures, but certainly in the Western mindsets. There is a temporal expansion. An elongating of life that really doesn’t serve us. If I were to use a metaphor, imagine a jet ski and a supertanker. A jet ski is nimble and quick. Changing direction, speed and outcomes in a moment. Whereas the supertanker is so big, it might take an hour to turn around, and it would need a…

Wishing for the Way Things Were? Wishing on a memory Where did the “normal” go? We had a “normal” way back in 2019. Wishing that things become the way they were can be counterproductive. During the podcast Wednesday night, we discussed the different ways our Soul can “get our attention.” Often resorting to the proverbial cosmic two-by-four. When our Soul wants change in our life, it might serve us to follow our Soul’s inspiration so our Soul doesn’t have to resort to more drastic measures to get our attention. Often we can cling to a “comfort zone” of sorts. Where we don’t really want change. Where our ego would prefer more of the same. Perhaps it was a relationship that was fantastic. Or perhaps we had the job where we had the best boss ever. It is never off the table. That is to say, the universe can bring us something…

To Live a Rewarding Life You are more than you might know Nature is never finished. Always ready for another (new) expression. You are that nature personified. So … imagine if you will … that you (your ego) makes a list of what you would like to do and your Soul makes a list of what it might like to do. Are those two lists the same? Just pause for a moment and ask yourself that question. What answer(s) do you get? Unless your parents where totally tuned in to their own souls’ inspirations, you were imprinted with a rather shut down trajectory for your life. It is quite the norm, really. People settle into a rather constant and unchanging narrative for their life. But at our essence, we desire a rich and full engagement of all that life has to offer. I say this because I spent the first…

Breaking into the Open Karma is not a forever thingy There is a factor to karma, that I think goes overlooked. The curious thing is that we have been through, collectively, such huge karmic events. Events that have touched generation after generation. At a very deep level. If you look at war, for example, PTSD can cripple a person. Devastate them. Crush their ability to function in the world at all. Collapse their ability to process emotions. To the point of either wrestling with the horror of their memories, or perhaps, the opposite end of the spectrum of feeling numb. Or when entire countries go through a deep financial depression. Scarring those people for generations to come. My father went through those days, and he was the co-fabricator of my ego, along with my mother. Teaching me how I would end up thinking. If you are walking around on planet…

Stand Solid through the Chaos Weathering the storm These times … they are a changing. ~ Unknown One of the more common ways we lose our way, is when we take in information and then base our life on this information. I know we are constantly bombarded with information. But when we take it in, and make it our own, that is when we put our power behind it. Whatever it is. You cannot lose your power “somewhere else.” In other words, when we lose our power, it doesn’t “leave” us. It gets fragmented within us. You are always in 100 percent control over your power. It is never anything “out there” that is holding your power. It might not seem to us that we are always holding our power. This is due to our soul’s decision to fragment ourselves into seemingly less powerful archetypes. In order to live out…

Our Emotional Struggles are really a Mental problem Our Emotions, themselves, are an impersonal thing One of the things that makes change more of a challenge, can be our emotions. We can get into a stuck repetitive cycle with our emotions. But the emotions themselves are a very natural and indifferent phenomenon. You could think of getting stuck in emotional re-actions, like yelling the same phrase into “echo canyon,” expecting to hear something different. When we find a particular emotion getting stirred up, over and over again, we can think that it is the emotions themselves that are creating the problem. But our emotions are a natural response to our thoughts, feelings, beliefs and attitudes bumping up against “reality.” A response is caused by something. When there is a response, it is a result of something else. Just like the echo itself is like a response of the “echo canyon,”…

It gets easier … if you engage You always have free will I understand not everyone knows about snow skiing. But there is a bit of a dichotomy behind getting good at it. When you first put on the skis, you feel very clumsy. It is difficult to move around at all. And then add trying to go down even a small hill … the tendency is to lean back. Why would you lean forward when you feel like you have no control? Yet, that is when you gain control. The skiing becomes easier (eventually ;- ) once you learn to lean into it. Once you get the knack of it, you can easily ski wherever you want on the ski slope. The skis are designed in such a way that when you lean forward, that is when the ability to control where you are going gets much easier. But…
