Pray to a BIG God Don’t hang with the lesser gods. I pray to a Big God, because I kneel in a Big Church. ~ Peter Gabriel With some simple math, it could be easily estimated that billions of prayers have been prayed, to the BIG Guy, to end the suffering on this planet. And no God shows up. No glowing Orb descends from the Heavens. No Deity waves a magic wand. No Savior(s) to save us. That is a table. “Table” is a string of common symbols that have nothing to do with the actual table. Well, except if you use that particular string of common symbols, well then, we know what you are talking about. Who are You? The triggered Ego Here one moment … gone the next Have you ever had a deep friendship just vanish? Yikes! I worked with a very dear friend for a decade. He felt like a brother to me. We were very dear friends. We both worked in a TV station accomplishing big projects and having the times of our lives. And his wife was throwing him a surprise birthday party. Cool! Your Soul seeks growth. To grow. To evolve. Bend and Stretch For myself, I find it most curious that our egos have the final say in what we actually do. Well, at least for a while. There is a static effect when we live in our egos. Where our lives become static, or perhaps stagnant, and not dynamic. Our egos really want to know what is going to be the outcome of our decisions. Perhaps we have been burned before. Or, perhaps, our hearts have been broken. And we don’t want to feel THAT (ever) again. So we become very cautious with all of our decisions.
