The Trifecta of Satisfaction and Fulfillment

What brings you Joy

For many of us we are living a life in the fast brain. With our phones, social media, the news and all of the massive changes that are going on in the world around us.

I get that it can be difficult when we are being tugged in so many directions. Oftentimes our minds are challenged and stressed to make the right decisions.

When I talk about the Trifecta of Satisfaction and Fulfillment, I am talking about your heart, your soul and your ego. Your ego, all by itself, can decide if you will live your life by day-trading stocks and taking lavish vacations. Perfect. You have free will. You are free to live your life any way that you choose. Your ego might be satisfied and fulfilled, at least for a while, with such a strategy. But millionaires jump off bridges too.

What I am talking about is to develop a strong connection with your heart and soul. I suggest this can take some effort. And then to trust the wisdom of your heart and soul. When you can teach your ego to trust your passionate heart and the vision of your soul, a whole different level of satisfaction and fulfillment come into reach.

Before I got cracked open, my ego was quite content. I was a senior engineering manager at one of the biggest television stations in town. I loved all the technology I was responsible for day to day. Television was an exciting career. I thought I would spend my life doing just that. It was very satisfying.

I am not saying my heart and soul were not “on board” with my TV career. But once I got cracked open, a whole new life path unfolded before me. Write a book. Start a podcast. Study water. When these things came into my life, it was just different. For example, as I have written about many times, I didn’t want to write books. I resisted the notion of writing books. But I must say, the trifecta of satisfaction and fulfillment I feel when I honor the inspiration I get from within, is a much deeper and more satisfying feeling than something that was solely decided by my ego.

It often takes some effort and commitment to bring it about. Writing your first book isn’t just a weekend project. At least for most of us. It is who you become in the journey that I think the heart and soul find so wonderful. It’s the growth of yourself. Of who you are. Consciousness, which you are, is always seeking expansion. Tune in to your own inspiration and discover what might be waiting for you. The more you commit to it, the more it has to offer you.

Love You
