The Only way Out … is In.

Where you are going, you are already there.

Perhaps we are on our “spiritual journey.” Where we have decided that we want to grow ourselves spiritually. We might think that that direction is always metaphorically “up.” To ascend into Heaven.

But wait a minute. “Grow ourselves spiritually?” Wouldn’t that, metaphorically, be down?

So, what if we were brand-new Souls? Never having ever had a physical experience. Never having incarnated anywhere or any when. In a way, we have already arrived. In other words, perhaps the spiritual journey is into the darkness. Perhaps it is into the shadow.

In a sense, the moment we were born, as a brand-new Soul, we have already arrived at the end of the journey. As a brand new Soul, we had no karma loaded up in our psyche. We were squeaky clean. We had no one to forgive. We had no pain or suffering. But as a Soul, who wants to know. Wanting to know what it is like to be a human, we intentionally chose to take on karma, to immerse in the human experience, and to experience all that goes along with that. After so many incarnations, we have loaded up our psyche with karma. Bringing with it all manner of struggle, sorrow and loss. Not that there weren’t good times, filled with love, joy and happiness. But here on this planet, the human experience, collectively, has had so much war, pain and suffering. Time to head back home. Time to release everything we have taken on in our countless incarnations.

It seems like a zero sum game of sorts. Where we take on some quantity of karma. And the pathway home is for us to release that same quantity of karma. Making the sum, or remainder … zero. Wasn’t zero how much karma we had the “day” our Soul was born? Curious.

To clean out our karma, is to cleanse and release everything our psyche has taken on over time. That itself is always an inside job. Our karma is never “out there.” Sure, we might experience it “out there.” Out in the day-to-day world in which we live. But the pathway home is found by looking inside of ourselves. Where we put our attention on our self. We are very much like an onion, where we have layer after layer of imprinting on our psyche. We might “look” for elements within our self that we can cleanse and resolve … today. And find nothing of significance. Perhaps over time we just quit looking. But it is only within that that we can find what it is that will help bring ourselves back home. Back to our innate Self. Back to our Source.

EnJoy the journey. There will be bumps along the way. But if you learn how to experience joy today, this day, then you will be in fine form to find joy tomorrow as well. Practice that, and you just might enjoy your life as well.

Love You!
