Let Go of Struggle There is Grace within You now Imagine … if you will … Imagine that you are crossing a wide and swift river. Perhaps about waist deep. And there is a taut rope strung across the swift river. You are holding tightly to the rope as you take step after step. Feeling for a solid footing on the rocky bottom. Each step brings risk, yet again. Over and over. If you get it wrong … yikes. When we have loaded up our psyche with unresolved emotions, beliefs and expectations, we are literally creating a source of turbulence of sorts within us. Your Free-Will will always approve Your request. What shall it be? You are never stuck. It, perhaps, is just the opposite. Not that you are stuck, but perhaps you just don’t know. Not knowing all of the things you could choose. We tend to stop dreaming when we have difficulty manifesting what we would prefer. Karmic momentum has a way of shutting us down. Not forever, but long enough for us to become complacent with where we are. Complacent with our life condition. It is totally understandable. The Cloaking of our Karma Who doesn’t have karma? Anyone? I have a favor to ask. Can you please take a picture of gravity, gravity itself, and circle it in the picture? And send that to me? For that matter, add one of electricity too. The bright light that lightening makes is photons, not the electricity itself. We can’t see gravity or electricity. But we can see their effect. So then. Karma. Imagine taking a picture of a homeless vet, panhandling on the corner. Could you “see” the karma itself in the picture? Or, like the other examples, only the effect? We are metaphorically “launched” out of our family of origin with ingrained karmic tendencies. We are born, we grow up, and we move out of our family of origin. Your own Personal Jesus Free at last! Jesus doesn’t want to save you. God is not “coming” either. You came here for the human experience. You CAME here of your own free will. You chose to have these experiences. God won’t “grant” you enlightenment. Even if you ask nicely. Well, OK, technically you are enlightened now. There is nothing to be added to you, to your psyche, that will give you enlightenment. The separation of your enlightened consciousness, and your ego, is what makes it seem like you are not enlightened right now. But, again, you chose to get where you are. The Ever-Evolving You! Without End You are never stuck. Well, unless you think you are. And even then, you can always re-decide. We are souls well-established on our journeys. We have loaded up our psyches with karma from our past. And this karma creates a momentum of sorts. A consistency of sorts in our everyday experiences. A lot of this momentum is found in our subconscious. You can imagine a huge supertanker out in the ocean. Laden with cargo. Riding low in the water. The top speed is quite slow. Your Happiness and Your Sorrow It is all up to You Your mind is the beginning, and the end, of your happiness and your sorrow. It is a most curious thing. Our mind/ego is the decider. Well … kind of. How many people have created a vision board, and religiously chanted their daily affirmations, only to find that years later … nothing (of significance) has changed? If those things, affirmations and vision boards, are the creation and intent of the mind/ego, how can I say that the mind/ego is the decider? We take on karma when we posture with what is. Putting Yourself Back Together Have you ever been wiped out? For so many people, these have been some pretty hard times. How do you put yourself back together? I recently had to go through this. Well, I chose to go through this. As you know, scrubbing my psyche is a priority in my life. And over the Christmas week, I hit pay dirt. Or perhaps, pay pain. There were events buried in my psyche that were very painful. As my intention is to clear out those heavy substantial events, I bumped up against a doozie.
