Showing Up for Yourself

You cannot exhaust your potential(s)

There are no hard fast rules. The “free will” aspect of life ensures many possibilities for our future. The (quantum) mirror of “reality” has no bias either. In other words, we create the life we have now.

There are times, when we stall, when we become stuck or dormant and our life has lost its zeal, that our souls can “arrange” a wake-up call for us. Something will happen in our life to wake us up. We can think that, we … our egos, are running the show. We decide, in our heads, what we want and we typically do that. Our mind/ego can “run our life” year after year. Making “all” the decisions. But there is a larger aspect of ourselves, that has, perhaps, the final say. That is our soul. Our soul can line up events to prepare us for the next chapter(s) of our life.

As I have shared before, last year I had spent seven weeks in the hospital. My mind/ego certainly didn’t decide that. But I know my soul had a hand in it. And then, the overwhelming impulse to go to Egypt changed my life at a very deep level. Two major events in my life within about a year of each other. Both these events, I feel, were intended by my soul. The results of these two events have prepared me for the next chapter of my life. What is the next chapter of my life going to be about? I don’t know. And I don’t need to know. I would say, perhaps, that I cannot know, fully, what my soul intends for me. It has taken me a lot of personal growth to learn how to trust my soul as much as I do. And I know I will learn to trust my soul even more as time goes by.

Our soul can inspire us all throughout our life. That inspiration isn’t the thing itself. In other words, if your soul is inspiring you to “write a book,” that inspiration is not an actual book. Inspiration is the first step in the process of how our soul guides us through our life. Being able to recognize, receive and understand the inspiration from your soul is the first step. Actually bringing that inspiration into completion is something else altogether. You might get the inspiration to write a book, and the actual effort to write a book is something else. When you show up for yourself, you follow through. You honor yourself. You respect yourself. You show up with the time, intention and attention to complete the inspiration.

The more you show up when your soul inspires you, the more your soul can inspire you. This is an ever-evolving relationship that you can have with your soul. Living a soul-led life isn’t common. We can get quite comfortable living our mind/ego-led life. Where there isn’t much change year to year. But if you want to really show up for yourself, strengthen the trust your mind/ego has for the inspiration of your soul.

I have no idea where the vision of my soul will lead me over the coming decades, but I do know that I have to show up, if any of that inspiration has any chance of coming into fruition.

What does your soul intend for You?

Love You
