God has the best tattoos
We are not here to be the same
You cannot escape your Divinity. Even on your worst day, you are Divine.
There is a notion that God wants us all to be “righteous.” To fit in to the Divine template is perhaps the intent of many religious folks. But I suggest God is just fine with “wrongeous” folks as well. (Is that the wrong word?). If God was so insistent on “perfection” God never would have left Heaven. In other words, there would be no duality. All there would be is Unconditional Love, as Unconditional Love is perfection in and of itself. You could call Unconditional Love the fabric of all that is. I mean, if God created everything, and God is Unconditional Love, we are all made from the fabric of Love.
What about all the ways that humanity is so cruel to itself? Is that God too?
There is no consciousness outside of Divine Consciousness. For example, your ego has no consciousness of its own. Or rather, your ego has no source of consciousness outside of the Divine Consciousness fueling your whole rodeo right now. In other words, the reason you are able to read this sentence, is that Divine Consciousness is fueling your real-time experience. You “run” on Divine Consciousness, as there is no other source of consciousness.
“If you don’t find God in the next person you meet, it is a waste of time looking for him further.”
― Mahatma Gandhi
There are countless examples, from our ego’s perspective, of “less than ideal” representations of God. People who don’t fit the righteous template, or do they? Joan of Arc, a teenage girl, couldn’t be the “right person” to lead an army. And then there is the blind heroin addict who couldn’t possibly touch the hearts of millions. Ray Charles begs to differ. How about the scrawny frail lawyer who liberated India from the clench of the British war machine without firing a shot? Of course, I am talking about Mahatma Gandhi. And that first tattoo you got in college, what were you thinking? ;- ) You are never tainted to the point that you are no longer Divine. You can’t ever get there. Your Divinity is assured.
Your Divinity is your permission slip to show up. Not that you need a permission slip. But sometimes we don’t feel worthy. Who are you to show up in your authenticity? Who are you to shatter some of the dogmas of our collective past? Who are you to claim your own Divinity and kick some Divine ass in this incarnation of yours? Damn right you are approved by God. No matter what you choose to do. You want to be the villain this time? Perfect. You want to be the hero this time? Perfect. You can’t do it “wrong.”
Who are you here to be? Don’t tell me. But do tell you!
You Divine Rock Star!
Love You
Les
