Can You Reset Yourself? So many narratives … so little time How many triggers do you have? Are you easily offended? How do you react to completely contrary points of view? If your life gets turned on its head, how long does it take to re-adjust to what is? Could you go back through your life and look at every decision you have ever made, and decide, with each and every one, if they were “right” or “wrong?” Are you a writer? a dancer? a poet? a Diva? an architect? a singer? a doctor? a healer? an artist? a sage? a mystic? a … fill in the [   ]. Can you decide, in this moment, which one(s) of those you “are” … or “are not?” I never saw myself as a writer. In fact, my ego argued with my heart and soul for about six years. In those first moments…

Our Emotional Struggles are really a Mental problem Our Emotions, themselves, are an impersonal thing One of the things that makes change more of a challenge, can be our emotions. We can get into a stuck repetitive cycle with our emotions. But the emotions themselves are a very natural and indifferent phenomenon. You could think of getting stuck in emotional re-actions, like yelling the same phrase into “echo canyon,” expecting to hear something different. When we find a particular emotion getting stirred up, over and over again, we can think that it is the emotions themselves that are creating the problem. But our emotions are a natural response to our thoughts, feelings, beliefs and attitudes bumping up against “reality.” A response is caused by something. When there is a response, it is a result of something else. Just like the echo itself is like a response of the “echo canyon,”…

Where is Your path to Nirvana? Follow the Yellow Brick Road A nuclear ka-boom. Where is your path to the promised land? Where will you find what you are looking for? Where will you be when you “get there?” We all have a “normal” of sorts. Even if it is uncomfortable. Perhaps, within our own normal, we have chronic pain. Or an emotional tempest within us. But if you wipe off the descriptions of what your normal feels like … there is a baseline of sorts. A “density” of sorts. A “viscosity” of sorts. But what about the ka-boom? There is so much power in the nuclear arena. A softball size of nuclear material has a tremendous amount of energy or power. So, imagine with me a bit. When that power is released, it e-x-p-a-n-d-s very rapidly. And then eventually normalizes itself. So, let’s reverse that process. Let’s take a…

How Long Is Your Emotional Rebound Time? Do your emotions stay longer than they’re welcome? Do you remember, early in 2020, when there was a run on toilet paper? Well, you better hurry out and get yourself a yardstick. Because they are not going to make them any longer. ;- ) A measuring stick can be so handy. If there was a measuring stick for our emotional demeanor, a lot of us might find ourselves coming up short. I know I would have, had I been able to measure my emotional skills before the universe cracked me open. The thing was, the most prominent emotional struggles I was having were completely off my radar. They were totally dominating my life, and I had no idea what so ever that I had such emotional problems. If I only had a measuring stick, then I could have discerned that, before the universe…

Riding the Waves Where are our emotions taking us? So how long does it take you to experience an emotional re-action? When you feel emotionally upset, how long does it take to go all the way through the emotional wave? There are all kinds of variations to that notion. If you spill the milk or you go through the heartache of losing a loved one, you tend to have emotional re-actions to all kinds of events in our lives. I know there is quite a difference between those two examples. But it is still something to consider. Emotions have energy behind them. The energy of those emotions comes from our own consciousness. When we emotionally re-act to our experiences, we create very similar re-sults. A karmic momentum of sorts. Our emotions are a reflection of ourselves. They can be thought of as messengers. Messengers that have information for us. Our…
