Octaves of Wisdom Where are you operating from? How do you make the choices that you make, as you go about your day? It can seem that we are making our decisions based on what is happening outside of us. I want that. I don’t want that. That being that thing or opportunity outside of us. And there is certainly a merit to that. Sure, we are observing “this” and “that” outside of us. The thing is, we are actually basing a lot of wisdom, the wisdom behind our choices, on what is going on inside of us. There is a metaphorical structure to our consciousness. You could think of it as octaves of consciousness. Tiers of wisdom, perhaps. As we load up our psyche, over many lifetimes, including this lifetime, we start to posture. We develop a wisdom, perhaps based in our egos, that decides what we do as…

Karma In Karma Out The Journey of the Soul Karma is impersonal and indifferent. Just like gravity is. There is a phrase that seems applicable here. The Journey of the Soul. Think about a brand new Soul as a lightbulb that is turned on. Shining bright. As Souls come from Source Consciousness or God Consciousness. In the beginning was the Light. That statement, perhaps, could refer to the composition of a brand new Soul. Light. A new Soul has no human experience until it incarnates for the first time. Without any experience(s), it has no known preferences. Preferences that are decided by an experience. Sometimes those experiences are too much. Where we feel overwhelmed. And thus, the posturing begins. And thus the karma begins. and thus the loading up of our psyche begins. If, perhaps, we could stay completely in the feelings of living our life we would do well…

Getting Past the Struggles One Step at a Time Where did you come from? Perhaps the question is, who is this “you” we are talking about? Are we talking about your Soul as this “you?” If so, then perhaps we would talk about the journey of your Soul. And perhaps previous lives. The themes of your last several incarnations. Etc. Or perhaps we are talking about your ego. Well, that is quite a different conversation. For this moment, let’s look at your ego. Were your parents fully realized personifications of the Divine? In other words, were your parents without any karma or stigmas? Were your parents performing miracle after miracle as the saviors of the past have promised us all we would all eventually be able to do? My guess is probably … no. Certainly for me, no. My parents had plenty of struggles of their own. But here is…

Paint the Picture You Desire As You Wish There is a momentum of sorts. Living this human experience. We are all having a “normal” experience. Today might seem very familiar. Perhaps just like yesterday. It is at least normal to us. Yet, your normal day and my normal day can be completely different. We are all having our own unique experience(s) of life. Sure, there is a common set of experiences. Laughter is an example of similar experiences. Yet, the Guru and the Maniac live in the “same” world. What are your experiences of your life? Are there repetitive experiences that you don’t like? Perhaps you butt heads with someone at work. Or perhaps you and your spouse spar it out often. Arguing over this or that. Something you might not prefer. Or there is the notion of avoidance. You avoid the butthead at work or avoid arguments with your…

Feel the Rain From a drizzle to a downpour Have you ever been caught in the rain? I mean really drenched? Oh what a feeling! Have you ever been devastated by your emotions and feelings? Brought to your knees? Wiped out? If you don’t feel your feelings, when they are (rather) mild, like a drizzle, you will feel them later like a torrential downpour. We get ourselves stuck with our feelings and emotions when we start to posture with them. When we start to suppress them. When we start to avoid them. But perhaps the biggest karmic influence our emotions can have, is when we don’t even know the (subconscious) posture we have with them. Then we tend to accumulate more and more karmic energy within us. We tend to collapse our lives into deeper and deeper troughs of preferences. Avoiding whole arenas of options, choices, and thus outcomes. Collapsing…

Good Emotions Bad Emotions How do You feel? So where are you? Where are you on the emotional scale? Emotional scale? What is the emotional scale? When we bump up against “reality,” we get a reflection of sorts. An emotional radar, you might say. We project our thoughts, beliefs and attitudes up against the “reality” before us and what comes back is our “emotional” echo. It is those thoughts, beliefs and attitudes that decide where we are on this metaphorical emotional scale. Life isn’t fair. It’s not my fault. They won’t let me. I can’t. These types of thoughts and beliefs are anchored in a victim mentality. “Whether you think you can, or you think you can’t–you’re right.” ~ Henry Ford We are all experiencing a form of karmic momentum. A karmic collage of experiences. We build up our thoughts, beliefs and attitudes as we go through our life. The…

Vibrational Equivalence The Nature of Karma There is an elegance. A grace you might say. What I am talking about is the mechanics of karma. I would say it is very similar to how a mirror works. A mirror is very graceful. It, without effort or motive, simply reflects back what is “shown” to it. How you experience “reality” is just as graceful. For what you are experiencing is your own personal energy persona, being reflected back to you through the quantum mirror. It is an impersonal reflection of … yourself. Your karma fabricates your experience of your “reality,” and yet it is impersonal. Karma, like gravity, is impersonal and indifferent. When we desire something, and perhaps have a difficult time creating it, that difficulty is based on the presence of incongruent energies within our personal energy persona. Our karma itself. The more karma you have in your personal energy…

Ticket to Paradise Look no further than You! There is your ticket, EnJoy the ride! For every arena of consciousness, there is a spectrum of possibilities. The archetypes are a good example of this. There is the Sinner and the Saint. The Cop and the Criminal. The Hero and the Victim. In every single arena, there is (the potential of) You. You, as a Soul, can play out any experience you can imagine. It might not seem that way, once you try to traverse the spectrum. In other words, you might be experiencing a particular type of hardship, trying to change your condition. And, perhaps, not having much luck actually changing your condition. There is a momentum, of sorts, behind most any karmic stigma. There are several billion variations of such things, playing out in the lives of the 8+ billion people living on the Earth right now. Some are so totally loaded…

Breaking into the Open Karma is not a forever thingy There is a factor to karma, that I think goes overlooked. The curious thing is that we have been through, collectively, such huge karmic events. Events that have touched generation after generation. At a very deep level. If you look at war, for example, PTSD can cripple a person. Devastate them. Crush their ability to function in the world at all. Collapse their ability to process emotions. To the point of either wrestling with the horror of their memories, or perhaps, the opposite end of the spectrum of feeling numb. Or when entire countries go through a deep financial depression. Scarring those people for generations to come. My father went through those days, and he was the co-fabricator of my ego, along with my mother. Teaching me how I would end up thinking. If you are walking around on planet…

What would make You feel “Better”? Is there a feeling you are looking for? There is a bit of a back and forth. Once we get (more) focused on what we want. As part of the “awakening” process, you start paying more attention to your thoughts and feelings. You start to discern what you prefer, and what you don’t prefer. You start to “mind.” You start to pay attention to how you feel, doing those things that, perhaps, you have always done. To discover our subconscious habits that we have instilled in ourselves, we need to stretch ourselves. If we always avoid bad feelings, we are actually accumulating the karmic energy behind them. If we don’t ever get to the point of actually feeling them, they are taking more of a proverbial hold on us. It isn’t like we have to feel our bad feeling all the time, like it…
