Don’t Blame the Mirror Look at Your Reflection The world you experience “out there” is a perfect reflection of You. This simple idea can be a measuring stick for who you really are. Are you wealthy fiscally? Or not so much. Are you healthy? Or not so much. Are you happy? Or not so much. Are you … you get the idea. But keep in mind, what you are seeing, being reflected back to you, might have been “put” there within you a very long time ago. Did you inherit a genetic disorder? Does your family lineage have a long history of poverty? Are you a mirror image of your family lineage? Maybe and maybe not. The human psyche is extremely programmable. Imagine if you will, just for conversation sake, that you were switched at birth. Just a general example to illustrate how the environment in which you were raised…
Nobody’s fault but Mine You create Your experience There is a bit of a lag of sorts. A temporal displacement. At least it can seem that way. In other words, once we have accumulated a lot of pent-up karma in our subconscious, it can seem like we are living in a rigid pattern of life. Our life takes on a seemingly consistent nature to it. And from that, our minds can believe that life is just “that way.” Where our karmic experiences are repeating themselves over and over. To compound that, we can have karma from past lives that anchor a repetitive pattern in ourselves, and thus into our life experiences as well. This can give us a sense of being a “victim” of our experiences. Where our conscious mind can’t connect the dots as to why “bad things” keep happening to us. Perhaps it is the third divorce, where…
Getting through the Storm Riding the waves of change And what a gift all this change is. There is a lot of change going on. A tempest of sorts. The collective subconscious of all of humanity is coming up to the surface. We are seeing our shadow(s). We are seeing sides of humanity that we would have never known about without all this change. Riding the waves of change isn’t always easy. Sometimes we just want to go hide away somewhere where we can just relax. Lucky for you, there is a metaphorical “Garden of Eden” within you now. A place of immense peace and tranquility. It has been there every moment of all of your existence. The day you were born, your Innate Self was there. Your Innate Self is the Self that is always there. Your ego, your personalities, and all of that changes with time. But your…
From the Inside Out Karma is always an inside job Have you ever learned something that totally changed how you experience your life? Or perhaps how you approach your “problems” or “lessons?” I am learning just how fortunate I was when my life changed forever. It took me several decades to pick it apart. Picking apart what had happened when my life changed so much. The unraveling of myself, really. I mean, I am still finding a deeper understanding of what that change was that I went through. I have shared many times how the unexpected sudden release of emotions from my psyche was a big turning point in my life. There is no way I would have found it on my own. Not at the level that I did. I never would have known just how much of my life was on a sort of autopilot. Where my ego/mind…
The Villain makes the Hero Had we never left heaven … Was it a mistake to leave Heaven? I mean, really? God, as Unconditional Love, is Heaven itself. In other words, many of us are on a spiritual journey to return to Heaven. But, why did we even leave Heaven in the first place? In the beginning was the Light. The Light of Heaven. The Light of Love. OK. Perfect. Stop right there. Heaven as the vast field of Unconditional Love sounds like, well, it sounds like Heaven to me. Heaven is what we metaphorically left. God, as Consciousness/Love, wanted to know more about its potentials. Wanted to know what it would feel like to have a dualistic experience. Wanted to know what it could be. And it entered duality. The beginning of creation itself. Fast forward billions and billions of years, and here we are. God Consciousness personified as…
Karma In Karma Out The Journey of the Soul Karma is impersonal and indifferent. Just like gravity is. There is a phrase that seems applicable here. The Journey of the Soul. Think about a brand new Soul as a lightbulb that is turned on. Shining bright. As Souls come from Source Consciousness or God Consciousness. In the beginning was the Light. That statement, perhaps, could refer to the composition of a brand new Soul. Light. A new Soul has no human experience until it incarnates for the first time. Without any experience(s), it has no known preferences. Preferences that are decided by an experience. Sometimes those experiences are too much. Where we feel overwhelmed. And thus, the posturing begins. And thus the karma begins. and thus the loading up of our psyche begins. If, perhaps, we could stay completely in the feelings of living our life we would do well…
Traversing the storm Move yourself out of struggle There is a momentum of sorts, a karmic momentum, where we have a pretty constant experience of our life. Not to say that we are all having the same experience, but rather, once we grow up and move into adulthood, there can be a momentum of sorts to the life we experience. Have you heard someone say “All of my three ex-wives have cheated on me?” This is a kind of karmic momentum I am talking about. This is just an example, but there are those have difficulties holding down a job, keeping out of jail, or whatever. I use the idea of traversing in the title to suggest the notion that we can traverse through our karmic momentum and eventually be free of it. Karma, in and of itself, is an impersonal mechanism of the human experience. Karma itself has no…
Want a Fresh Start? There is no better time … Is it time for a change? Are you looking for a fresh start? There is no momentum to living. Well, yes there is. There is no momentum “out there.” In other words, the universe is not holding a scorecard with your name on it. There is no “momentum” as far as the universe is concerned. There is no “current status.” You are free. Yet we can have a very deep sense of momentum. “I have been here before, and here I am again.” Perhaps you might have said this before. Where you find yourself in the same predicament as before. “My spouse wants a divorce … again. This makes it three different spouses now that have wanted to divorce me.” “I always find myself … [insert condition here].” Is the universe the one that consistently brings me these patterns of…
Spiritual Growth is Spiritual Expansion All consciousness seeks expansion You can never do it all. As I mentioned in the title of the last blog, you can’t do it all. There is a curious attribute to our consciousness, in that it is constantly seeking to expand itself. In the beginning was the Light (Source Consciousness). It sought to expand itself, and brought itself into form. It sought to expand its experience, and thus created form. A canvas of sorts, for it to express itself through. You are part of that canvas of expression. You are also part of that consciousness. There is no consciousness “outside,” or separate, from Source Consciousness, or “God.” Even the “evil” ones are Source Consciousness. We have a pacing of sorts. For many of us, we have settled down into a “normal” experience of life. A normal experience, where one day isn’t much different, as far…
Paint the Picture You Desire As You Wish There is a momentum of sorts. Living this human experience. We are all having a “normal” experience. Today might seem very familiar. Perhaps just like yesterday. It is at least normal to us. Yet, your normal day and my normal day can be completely different. We are all having our own unique experience(s) of life. Sure, there is a common set of experiences. Laughter is an example of similar experiences. Yet, the Guru and the Maniac live in the “same” world. What are your experiences of your life? Are there repetitive experiences that you don’t like? Perhaps you butt heads with someone at work. Or perhaps you and your spouse spar it out often. Arguing over this or that. Something you might not prefer. Or there is the notion of avoidance. You avoid the butthead at work or avoid arguments with your…
Moving through Your Karma Karma, like gravity, is impersonal Karma is a curious thing. If we were to try to pin down just what karma is, we might take a look at the mind/ego, and its relationship with emotions. Certainly this is not the totality of how we experience karma, but I would say this is the lion’s share. So many people go through their life and never consider what they are doing, karmically. We can take on habits, often at a very early age, that sets us up for accumulating more and more karma as we go through our life. Patterns that we often pick up from our parents. For myself, I had a very strong habit of avoiding the emotion of anger. So I would subconsciously avoid it at all cost. I believe my health would be considerably worse had I not connected with my subconscious anger, and…
