Blame, itself, deserves the Blame

Nobody’s fault but mine

It can be easy to blame someone or something for your situation. I mean, if all three of your wives have cheated on you, then it must not be you. Or, all of my husbands have had an affair on me. So, it can’t be me … right?

Many people want themselves “off the hook.” It’s not my fault. In other words, there seems to be a freedom in blaming others. Oh, did I say freedom? I meant prison.

There is an aspect of karma that isn’t talked about very much. You get back what you put out. Perfect, then since I didn’t cheat on my partner, it must be their fault that they cheated on me. Sorry. It doesn’t work that way.

We have a whole different side of ourselves. On one side, we have our “selves.” This is who people see … on the surface. This is who we talk to and make friends with. Maybe even marry. Ego to ego sort of thing.

But then there is the “other” side. Which is our subconscious. It is the one that is running the show. Until it is not. For the average human being, their subconscious is the most prominent part of themselves. In other words, most people go throughout their day from a subconscious mindset. A subconscious script that is playing itself out, day after day. The subconscious is really running the show, at least until you do the work. To do the work. What is that? I will get to that a little later. Let’s look at some examples.

When we have subconscious motives operating within us, we make decisions that follow that subconscious motivation. Even if our minds want something completely different. Perhaps it is difficult for you to … hold down a job. Or to stay in a relationship. Or to speak up for yourself. Or … you get the point. When we see recurring patterns in our life experiences, that is the telltale sign of subconscious motives at work. Where we can really get into a trap, or a metaphorical prison, is when we blame anyone or anything else, but ourselves, for our experiences. The woman who was totally invalidated as a child, who now will sleep with any guy to try to fill the void of lack of validation. Where they seek validation from outside of themselves. Will you validate me? That validation, since it doesn’t come from within, is at the mercy of the other. Anyone other than themselves. Our subconscious will overrule our conscious mind/ego.

For myself, I had a total fear of the emotion of anger and, as such, I was a doormat of sorts. Where I would never stand up for myself because it might, just might, stir up my immense amount of anger. So, people would metaphorically walk all over me and I wouldn’t do a thing about it. Or, perhaps, we were told as a child that we were clumsy and a fool. That nobody will ever take you seriously. There are literally billions of variations of the collage of subconscious motives a person can have playing out in their everyday lives. But wait … there is more (from Les ;- )

Not only do we get our subconscious programming from our childhood from this lifetime, but we can also have subconscious programming from our past lives. Wait … what? Our past lives can have unresolved past-life programming, karmic imprinting really, that also sets us up for repetitive patterns in our life. Perhaps some of you might not believe in past lives. I get that. I myself grew up not believing in past lives. Then, decades ago, I gave myself a past-life regression session for my birthday. And it blew my mind. After many such past-life regression sessions, I did start to see a theme, from my past, that was reflected in my life today.

There was one session where, in that lifetime, I was a general in an army. We had been fighting the enemy and were about to claim victory. I had planned the final battle for the next day. The next morning my army left to finally conquer the enemy. After considerable time, nobody returned. I got on my horse and rode towards the battlefield. When I came upon the battlefield, I couldn’t believe my eyes. There had been an ambush. The enemy knew we were coming and ambushed my army. It was a sea of death. Thousands of dead bodies everywhere. I told myself that day that I never wanted to command another person … ever. I have no desire to lead masses of people … at all. Yet, in our culture, we have many roles where one person is the leader. Those are not for me.  At least, not until I can resolve that deep imprinting within my psyche. It is not a goal of mind for this lifetime. I share this just as an example of past-life karmic imprinting.

To blame anything or anyone else, for our own experiences, is “bad” karma in and of itself. It would serve you well to completely own everything that happens to you. All of it. We, only ourselves, completely decide how we experience our life. We subconsciously attract to us teachers to mirror our own subconscious programming back to us. All those spouses that cheated on you, you attracted to yourself. As a mirror of your own belief that you are not worthy of a lasting relationship. Just like, in a story I have shared many times, had I quit my job because my boss was so malicious and mean, I would have found another teacher that would mirror my own subconscious anger back to me. We don’t learn the karmic lesson until we find the subconscious imprinting within us and clear it all out. Then the pattern stops.

You can begin to recognize what is in your subconscious by observing the elements of your life. By watching what you attract to yourself is a reflection of your own subconscious energy. Energy that the law of attraction uses to bring you karmic teachers. Don’t run away from the teachers, or the lesson will only get more difficult.

Oh and … Love You!
