There are no requirements. The choices you make will decide.

As you wish.

We are creatures of habit. They say it takes 21 days to establish a new habit. I would add to that it might take 21 days to completely release a habit. Recently, I had a complete and total erasure of my habits. All of them. The good ones and the not so good. I really didn’t have a choice. When I spent 7+ weeks flat on my back in a hospital bed, those 21 days of habit forming and habit erasing did its thing well before I had even reached the halfway point.

It is a very odd thing. Very strange. I get up in the morning, and there is no semblance of “what to do.” None. Not even a memory. I walk around my house and look at things, perhaps parts of projects I was working on, and there is an emptiness towards them. I might think, what was I trying to do here? It is kind of like I just got dropped off, from another planet, and everything here seems equally foreign. The phoenix effect, really. Burnt down to ashes. Nothing left. An empty sort of demeanor.

But now I get to (re)decide. What are my morning routines? What are my intentions? Where do I intend to go with my life? This might sound odd, but so be it. I have been a podcast host for over 15 years. Well over 500 interviews. And now I think of hosting a podcast, and it seems as foreign to me as being an astronaut. I know that starting a podcast was an intention that came from inspiration from my heart and soul. I don’t have to do anything. Part of that “clean slate” that a phoenix experience can give you. I get to re-decide all of it. One thing I do know, is that my life is much more rewarding if I follow my inner inspiration. That is what got me into writing books. Something I would have never chosen, if my ego decided everything. One of my intended new habits, is to always honor the inspiration that my heart and soul feeds me.

I can “see” that my previous me was dedicated to helping serve humanity. And I feel a deep resonance with that. I am starting to write another book. It almost feels as strange as my first book. I guess you could say I am “born again,” metaphorically speaking.

So I ask you, what are your most prominent habits? Give it a think. And then, if you so choose, ask yourself, “Do these habits serve me? Are they moving me towards my intentions?” You could also list your least favorite habits. I guess what I am saying is that once we generate our core habits, it can take some serious reflection and effort to re-program ourselves. I mean, habits are so … habitual. lol

My soul has a vision of what my life can be. If I am living out habits that are incongruent with that vision, then those habits can keep me from truly fulfilling that vision.

To get (more) intentional with what you want your life to be, can be a very powerful undertaking for you. Your life is always completely (re)programmable. But you might need to change your habits along the way.

You are free to choose whatever you wish. Free will is the ultimate wild card. Play your best hand.

Love You
