You can’t do anything about it.
You were not involved in the creation of you.
It’s not like you are off the hook. You are still metaphorically steering your boat. Creating your future. To a point.
But the creation of you, and the ongoing existence of you, is out of your hands. You, this awareness that is reading this sentence right now, was not around the day you were born. Likewise, you have been continually evolving yourself. If you were to magically arrange a gathering of “You’s” around a table, they would all have unique aspects of their personalities and personas.
So, if you could invite you, from a decade ago, to join you at this imaginary meeting, and invite the You from two decades ago, and so on and so on … each personification of you is using the exact same principles of manifestation to create their version of themselves (Your selfs). As such, who you are becoming, to arrive a decade from now, is being determined most probably by your ego. Unless you have been doing the connecting of your ego with your heart and soul, to get the three of them to get in step with themselves.
Make no mistake. You can’t stop the continuity of You. The very same you that was there when you were just a baby, where “you,” your current ego who is reading this sentence right now, didn’t exist yet. Imagine yourself on the day you were born. There you were as a baby. Plugging along. Living one day at a time. Fast forward to who you are now. You are plugging along as well. All “versions” of you were living their lives just like you are living your life now.
If I were to ask you where you are going, what would you say? What are your intentions for this life of yours? This one … now. You are holding the steering wheel of your life. The direction, velocity and intentions of where you intend to go, will decide your outcome in perfect measure. Just like those other versions of yourself, at that metaphorical table that created their lives with the same perfect precision.
You are safe. You are safe. You are safe.
The continuity of your consciousness is assured. Even if you live your last day on Earth, the continuity of your consciousness goes on. This is evident in the thousands of near death experiences (NDEs) that are posted on the internet. Or go see a (worthy) psychic and talk to your loved ones who have passed. The continuity of your consciousness is out of your hands. You can’t do anything about that. It is not in your jurisdiction. You have no say in the matter. Your consciousness will continue, with our without your approval. You are safe. Really. Think about that.
Perhaps the question becomes, what are you doing with your consciousness? Day in and day out. Where are you steering your future? What is your velocity? Are you moving in that direction?
