Soul Full living

You are living your life as a human. duh. But it was your Soul that chose THIS life this time. Your Soul is in the process of learning what it means to be a human being. It specifically chose the location of your birth. It chose your parents. It chose all the key elements of your life. But it can’t chose what you, the human, decides. That is the free agency thingy. We are free to chose whatever we want. We all have both the sinner and the saint within our potential.But which ones do we choose?

I have been fascinated by our potential and our choices. Very few humans on earth are living anywhere close to their potential. And New Human Living is about living your life as a human, from your Souls perspective. It expands your choices and your potential, without end. Our Soul does not know fear. Fear is a human experience. Our Soul does not know limitations. Again, that is a human trait.

Let go of the idea of limits. It can be pretty intimidating to see yourself as big enough to change the world.  But that is exactly what this world is needing right now. People, like you, that want to effect humanity without limits. You can touch millions, when you let go of any notion of limits. Your Soul wants you so crazy happy that you almost pee your pants. . Jumping on the bed ecstatic. You, yes You are here to kick some serious ass.

Thrust in your sickle. Step up to the plate and swing for the fence. Get excited about your own life, because there are serious treasures there for you to discover.

Don’t shoot the messenger…

But they so piss me off. THEY are the culprit. the reason I can’t be….

There is a curious thing about the tyrants in our life, they are not personal. I know it may seem like they have a personal vendetta to see to our demise. But in truth, if we run away from the tyrants in our life, we will only find new, improved tyrants. The tyrants are just the messengers. The tyrants actually are holding a gift for us. It is a free gift. But you don’t get the gift, until you understand the message the tyrant is trying to reveal. The message is about you. The gift is from you too. But the tyrants are the keepers of it, until we discover the reason. The reason why such impersonal tyrants are able to get our goat. To push our button. To get under our skin.

When we re-act to their tormenting, we are creating the same re-sults. We are locked in a pattern. A repeatable behaviour pattern within our own self. And the pattern of re-action is triggered in our sub-conscious. The gift they have for us, is to free ourself from our own subconscious re-actions. The gift is a wonderful feeling. A wonderful sense of expanded hope and possibilities for our future. So what. What if I am just find tolerating my situations, why do I have to do anything? Well, you don’t. It isn’t a problem unless you think it is.

What if you were a stranger to earth. And you decided you were going to visit planet earth, and the only brochure you had to look at was for Fargo, North Dakota? (Nothing against Fargo) but you would be missing out on a lot of new options and choices. When we are in a consistent pattern of re-acting, we have little choice. And choices are power. Raw power. When we don’t care about such details, we are voting for a future that is just like our past. Until you free yourself from your unresolved subconscious imprinting, you have few choices and very little power.

When you decide your worth it, and start the journey to discover your most authentic truth, it like tossing the old brochure and start watching the National Geographic Channel on Planet Earth. Wow, WOW. POW!

digging in the dirt

I know there are those among us that have been through the ringer. I am talking about basic human struggles here. In a general sense.

There are people I know that have come through the ringer here on earth. Hard, tough living that has really made a mark on them. Perhaps they were born into domestic violence. Or rape or incest of some sort or another. Or betrayal, deceit or abandonment. Hard core human emotions. Ouch!

But I also know that there is not anything we are exposed to, that we are not stronger than, at some level or another. Don’t get me wrong, I have been curled up in the fetal position, crying my eyes out over the pain I felt in my heart and body in this life. School of hard knocks jut doesn’t describe the pain. I often asked myself why I would ever find myself in such a position.

There is a curious thing about ourself. Our own spiritual growth. There is an aspect of us, that chose to be here, in whatever situations we might find our self in. The journey of our Soul, is that of transcendence. That is to say, to learn how we are bigger than what ever situation we have found our self in. We are here to grow. To discover ourselves. To master our own knowingness.

The people who have found themselves in the deepest sorrow or pain, chose to have the most remarkable journey possible. Who chose to “risk it all” for the deeper understanding of what is possible as humans, here on earth. When you have found yourself in the darkness of the night,know that you wanted to have the biggest challenges, so you could have the biggest triumphs. When you overcome your condition, that is raw power itself. Let me say that again, when you find yourself in doubt and darkness, and persevere, that is raw power and creation. That is the journey itself.  Power is being able to stay connected to the truth, when everything around you is telling you otherwise. For those of you that have been through the ringer, and you are here reading this now, know that you are the personification of raw power. You are the thing itself.

Celebrate your journey, right where you are. Don’t wait for the final step. The place you are right now, is a remarkable feat, in and of itself. Don’t let yourself be anything but proud and delighted in where you are, no matter what it “still” looks like. Your life is a story of the human experience. Be quick to forgive yourself and all others involved. Be quick to step forward into the possibilities that your future is holding for you.

Your Soul is delighted with you right now. Celebrate YOU today, and every day.

How are you valued?

When we are in are in a relationship, we want t o feel connected. We want to be valued.

Perhaps we were frugal with our dollars, or we were very “good” in the eyes of our religion.  We had attributes that were valued by our family, friends, society, etc.

Then add the art of letting go. Letting go of attachments. Of labels. Of perceived values. When we go on the journey to discover our deeper truths, we will have the time come where we are questioning our own values.

The thing is, that anything we allow, that increases our perceived value, also holds the opposite. If we get a law degree, then the law school is found to be a fraud. Or that our religion gives us spiritual promotion, and we feel closer to God.

The lasting place, where no thing needs to be added… ever, is to see your self as perfect, right now. Before the diploma, marriage, promotion. Then, when you understand your ongoing perfection, no thing, nothing can sway your relationship with your perfect self.

Round about way

2012 has so much chatter about it. But I think there is a simpler perspective to be had. Sure there will be plenty of changes in 2012. But there will also be some elegance and grace too. What I mean by that  is that many people will get grounded and centred in their truth. Their truth that is within them now. This type of journey is a simpler tale to tell. Elegance is the wake of nature. Nature does not struggle with itself. You are a natural being. A product of nature. And there is no reason to struggle with your self. What I am talking about is the very essence of you, is all you need. Sure there will be days to get out there and swing the bat. But the essence of you, within you now, is where you want to live.

How do I find such a place within me? Love.  Simply Love. It can be as easy as listening to the clerk at the store tell you a story. Or to ask someone what do they think. There is a subtle but powerful place within us, when we are just BEing ourself. Our authentic Self. You Soul is not worried about the future. It does not concern itself with the past. It’s like an ongoing improv scene. Where can I give love in this moment? Just with simple gestures. Or a quiet ear. Or perhaps just a simple smile or thank you.

When we are just present with the moment, and we are sending love from our heart out into the world, we are in deep communion with the process of life itself. We are in resonance with our inner most truth. The love that we give, will soften our own heart. And that will allow even more love to come about in our everyday life. And when Love goes out, it comes back multiplied. Get drunk in this Love.

What is New about Humanity?

What is there that we can change about humanity? What is there to watch unfolding?

I am in Portland OR, on a week long road trip. And I am meeting lots of people along the way. Some of those people I have known for a long time. And some I have just met for the first time. When I watch the interaction of people as they meet each other, they share about what is important or valued to themselves.  They seem excited to hear similar stories from me that they can relate to.  It is reminding me we all have value systems that we have been given and formed over the years. These value systems are the measuring stick for their life. It is the grading system that they have measured themselves to.

Perhaps it is the value of frugal spending. Or priding themselves on how much they accomplished with so little money. Or how they achieved a big goal, like graduation or getting promoted at work.  Or perhaps they were able to sober up and get their life in order. Or starting a new relationship with another.

These are all cool things. They are the very fabric of our life.

But in the past, we would have stayed in our own value cocoons. We would have stayed where we were valued. And keep our life rather static and controlled. But I suggest, the new human experience is to transcend even that. To let go of any form of acceptance and appeasement. There is a hesitation to let go of where we have come from. To let go of the measuring stick that we have used to prove our worth or value. It is a shift about how we see ourself, and thus what becomes possible for our life.

New Human Living is about letting go of it all. The attachment that Buddhism talks about. The idea of salvation that Christianity talks about. The well behaved citizen that our society talks about. These might seem extreme or jaded, but I suggest to you that they are not.

Once you get who you really are, you know the truth of yourself. There is a difference between knowing and believing. Believing is about coming to the point from thinking about something that you are sure that that is how it must work. Knowing comes from personal experience. When you know who you truly are, there is no need to validate any part of you. You are already valid. You are already Divine. You are already it. Where your life is right now, is just a sentence of your story. There is only one outcome. The only difference is where the path that gets you there has taken you. But in the end, all roads lead to Heaven. To Enlightenment. To Pure Love.

All value systems are a subset of Divine Love. Pure Love sets no conditions. Pure Love excludes nothing. Pure Love has no expected outcome. Pure Love is not afraid of letting go. Pure Love is the most powerful human condition that we can exist as, here on earth. The New Human loves it all . The totality of our human condition. And from that place of pure love, Nothing is denied. Wow. Then you can take steps without regard of what others think. You can follow your heart without hesitation. You can change the world, and love the journey it gives you.

Inside… Outside

Inside is your Heart and Soul…

Outside is… the results of the past, showing up in the present. This is where the EGO lives.

So we can’t really see, with our two eyes, anything in the future. We can only see in the present.  So what.

Our EGO is attached to the stuff outside of us. Our title perhaps, our income, status, perceptions… All a result of the past.

Our heart knows. It has it’s own intelligence. It is aware. Very aware. It is actually attached to every other heart of humanity too. It is what unites us. What connects us over the span of thousands of miles. Your heart has an intelligence for you. An awareness for your BEST life path. Jumping on the bed fun. Crazy wild excitement. And daring adventures, if you so prefer. But there is a catch of sorts. Not really a catch, unless you ignore it. Your heart won’t yell. It will let you(r ego) run around all you want.  But… the cool thing is the difference between your heart and your mind. Your heart is not as concerned with things of the past. It isn’t concerned with what the neighbours think. It IS concerned about life. Your life. The life of humanity. The life of planet earth.  And when you start to listen to your heart more and more, it starts to seed you with ideas. And these ideas are really cool. They are about helping others. Others who share a connection with you. Others that are awaiting a deeper connection with you. Even if your heart wants you to work as a janitor at a high school, it will feed you with opportunities to change lives. And nothing the ego conjours up can come close to the feeling you feel in your heart, when you are making a difference in the life of another. Want a most perfect life experience? Listen to your heart. Follow it. Learn when it is talking to you. Know the difference between an idea from your mind, and an idea from your heart. And when you know, without a doubt, the idea is from your heart… then do it. Without rationing it out with your mind. Without analysing it with your ego. Because it won’t make sense to your mind. Doesn’t matter really. When it’s from your heart… Just do it.

Tis the Season

Merry Christmas… but…

May I suggest something. I want to talk about Christ Consciousness. NOT Jesus Christ per se.. Christ Consciousness. WELL I would say Jesus certainly had it in spades. But the Christ Consciousness I am talking about is inside each of us, right now. The way I experience the Christ Consciousness is a fieled of energy that transcends effect. Or rather, it is a pure field or energy. There is no bias or judgement there. Remember, Jesus said, you will do everything I have done, and more. When we are in the alignment with the ever present Christ consciousness, there is no opposite. There is no doubt. The experience of that Christ Consciousness is that of Love. Pure Love.

Love, in it’s purest form, has no motive. No judgement. No bias. It accepts everything (you) exactly as it  is. And that is how the Christ Consciousness inside of you is right now. Completely accepting of everything there is. Period.

So how bout this holiday season, falling in Love. In Love with yourself. With everyone you meet. You don’t have to hug or kiss everyone. But you might say something like… Look… another face of Christ Consciousness, I wonder what the gift of they are?

You are a Gift, and because of you, I live in a better world. Thank YOU

Is there an echo in here?

The curious thing about change, is that it can take more time than we thought.

The first of the year is coming, and new year resolutions will be back on the table. People wanting change in their life.  But the curious thing is, that real change can take time. More time than perhaps we are mentally expecting. We may start off to bring about change and not really see an effect in our everyday life. Only to drop the effort and default back to what we were doing before.

Real change, the kind that sticks like glue, happens within us. When we take the time and make the effort to change our insides… the outside will follow.

There are plenty of quotes that highlight this. It is done unto you, as you believe. Your thoughts create. Law of attraction. But to get traction, real traction, we would do well to start to pay as much attention, or more, to what we are thinking and what we are feeling.

A practice I highly recommend is Mindfulness. This helps directly with our thoughts. Our subconscious thoughts. There is a simple, but not that easy, practice of “No-Thought” meditation. Simply not having any thoughts for say … 5 or 10 minutes. It is a simple idea, yet our mind is soon flooded with a bunch of dialogue about how this is stupid, unproductive and a waste of time. Perfect. What ever thoughts come streaming in, when we try to just quit thinking for a few minutes, is the background chatter that keeps us stuck. It is the subconscious chit chat that keeps us engaged in our little self or ego. Try it sometime. Go to the kitchen, set the timer on the microwave to 5 minutes, and press go. Then simply don’t have a single thought for 5 minutes. See how far you get.

And the other practice is that of our feelings. A simple thing you can try here is to stay put. pay attention to when you want to leave a unpleasant moment. Perhaps you are having a debate with your lover. Or your kids want something that makes you nervous. Stay put and just feel what your feeling. Simple enough… right? Learn how to start feeling comfortable, when you are feeling uncomfortable. When you stay in the uncomfortable feeling, you are changing your re-action. The previous you would have excused yourself. Would have changed the subject or gotten loud or dominant.  When you catch yourself wanting to bolt, stop… and just feel the feeling that is motivating that desire.

You are everything you need, right now. The trick is to get rid of the rest…. ;-)

What you seek, is within yourself now.

The kingdom of heaven is within.

great, so what, that won’t  pay my bills.

I like to keep things real. In the sense that, if I can’t get any effect from it, then… why bother.

The kingdom is within us. Hmmm.  At what percent interest? ;-)

Einstein said, you can’t solve a problem with the same level thinking that created it. If there is a “problem” in our life, we can’t get our relationships to work, or the money seems to come up short every month, or I just can’t seem to get the point of it all…

Heaven is within us. What is meant by heaven? Some pearl lined kingdom where angels and such fly around an check their FB status… ;-) Heaven is another word for source. Source is another word for heaven. How do we bring heaven (or source), or at least the idea of it, into effect in our everyday life? Einstein was talking about how we see ourself.  The idea that I can’t overcome my problems with the same thinking that created it. So my relationship with heaven must be the same way. What is my relationship with heaven, or source?

What I am getting at here, is how we see ourself. If we are in fact the infinite beings that the masters and sages have suggested over time, how do we tap this heaven potential within ourself? You do it by coming into better alignment with Love. From my perspective, Love is liquid heaven. Love is the source of all that is. Love is the fabric of the universe. All things, good and bad, are a creation of Love. In fact, there is no bad, just the Lack of Love.

Rumi, the 13th century poet said… Both light and shadow are the dance of Love.

When we separate ourself with our environment or condition, we are creating separation from that particular flavour of Love. Perhaps it comes from judging another. Perhaps it comes from hating the choices others have made. Perhaps it comes from the illusion of death. regardless of the motivation, it is the creation of separation. And with separation, comes the delusion of the source. The delusion of Love itself.

Every tyrant is Love expressing itself. Fear is the denial of Love. We are given fierce freedom here. We can deny life itself if we so choose.

The way to heaven is by inclusion. By acceptance. By forgiveness and compassion. It is only when we can see the divinity in all things that we can accept the true nature of the many faces of Love. What part of life do you reject? Is it not already so? War, murder, suffering all exist now. If we can not accept that, then we will be trapped here until we can. Stuck in the thinking that created the separation in the first place. How long do you want this to take?

Take another step back, where does this moment fit, in the infinite timeline of life itself?
