What to do about your Karma Got Karma? Is your karma “out to get you?” Does your karma have a motive or agenda? Is your karma trying to snare you? Like gravity, your karma is an impersonal experience. I know you might think that your karma is a very personal thing. But the mechanics, how your karma operates, is very impersonal. You are experiencing your karma in a personal way. But how you experience your karma is not fixed. You can change your relationship or experience of your karma in an instant. I have been “scrubbing my psyche” for over 30 years now. What am I doing when I do that? Scrub my psyche? I go looking for energy (karma) within me that has not been released. As I have shared before, I did have an immense amount of energy within me, that I was not aware of at all.…

Right Here. Right Now. It is You. I know it sounds simple but You is where it all happens … for You. Whether you are experiencing Heaven or Hell, it is through the “vehicle” of you that ALL of your experiences happen. To become more mindful of that can help you steer your life. What are you feeling … now? And why are you feeling what you are feeling? When we avoid feeling some of the not-so-pleasant feelings, we are setting ourselves up for more discomfort later. Let’s break that down a bit deeper. When you feel feelings you don’t prefer, what you do then is setting up your future relationship with that feeling. To avoid some aspects of your feelings is how you add karma to your own psyche. Whatever you push down, as far as your own feelings, you are saving for later. Not only that, but you…

Avoiding Your Emotions Intensifies Them What you resist, become a lesson Got Karma? Perhaps that is too simple a question. How about … What does your karma look like? What kind(s) of karma do you have? What kind(s) of your karma are you not consciously aware of? How is your karma showing up in your day-to-day life? What would your life look like, if you healed the majority of your karma? Is your karma personal? There are very subtle aspects to karma that can keep you stuck for a very long time. Decades. Even lifetimes. I love it when the subtle can show itself. Road rage. Right? I mean, you could meet someone, who is known by others to be a classic example of someone who has road rage often, but when you meet them, they are charming and docile. Like a Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. When they, the…

Up is Easier. Down is Harder. Which way are you headed? When we take on karma, we are “Going Down.” Not in value or worth. But in, perhaps, difficulties in our life. Perhaps you can imagine a war vet, loaded with PTSD, panhandling at the corner. Life, for him, is hard. Trying to get through the hour, or maybe even trying to get through the minutes. When we take on karma, we create a momentum of sorts. You might say a narrower karmic trajectory. Where “more of the same” is the name of the game. If we are souls, which we are, that have come here to learn and experience, which we have, “going down” is stepping into more difficult lessons for ourselves. In other words, when a soul incarnates into a challenging lifetime, very often that soul takes on more karma. Moving their overall vibration down. Or lower in…

You didn’t do it Wrong Karma takes it upon itself Karma, by its very nature, removes you from your “truth” or “power.” In other words, as you “take on” more and more karma, you are separating from your own power. We can think of karma as a method or mechanism that humans have that loads up our psyche with an illusion of sorts. Not only does karma collapse our choices of each moment, but it can also get us to prefer a particular way of living, even though that “particular way” of living doesn’t support us. What I mean by that is as we take on more karma, we are loading up our psyche with feelings and memories that can be very challenging for us. We can have a preference for avoiding our karma. A common example of this is addictions. Addictions come in many flavors. People can become addicted…

The Comfort or the Chaos Which do You prefer? It can seem like a good idea, the notion of comfort, that is. I mean, there is a bit of a karmic tsunami going on. Indeed, comfort, or perhaps taking the time to rest and ground yourself, can be very beneficial for you. Is that the ticket for getting through all this collective chaos? There are always pluses and minuses to everything. I mean, to talk about a plus, Heaven itself! In the beginning was the Light! Heaven right there. Before creation got started, well, it was already Heaven. The Light of Unconditional Love. Perfect … right? Well, Heaven, in and of itself, can’t give you the experience of being in form. Being in a body. Incarnation into human form for all the experiences it can offer you. There are no villains in heaven. And there are no heroes too. Heaven is…

Octaves of Wisdom Where are you operating from? How do you make the choices that you make, as you go about your day? It can seem that we are making our decisions based on what is happening outside of us. I want that. I don’t want that. That being that thing or opportunity outside of us. And there is certainly a merit to that. Sure, we are observing “this” and “that” outside of us. The thing is, we are actually basing a lot of wisdom, the wisdom behind our choices, on what is going on inside of us. There is a metaphorical structure to our consciousness. You could think of it as octaves of consciousness. Tiers of wisdom, perhaps. As we load up our psyche, over many lifetimes, including this lifetime, we start to posture. We develop a wisdom, perhaps based in our egos, that decides what we do as…

Karma In Karma Out The Journey of the Soul Karma is impersonal and indifferent. Just like gravity is. There is a phrase that seems applicable here. The Journey of the Soul. Think about a brand new Soul as a lightbulb that is turned on. Shining bright. As Souls come from Source Consciousness or God Consciousness. In the beginning was the Light. That statement, perhaps, could refer to the composition of a brand new Soul. Light. A new Soul has no human experience until it incarnates for the first time. Without any experience(s), it has no known preferences. Preferences that are decided by an experience. Sometimes those experiences are too much. Where we feel overwhelmed. And thus, the posturing begins. And thus the karma begins. and thus the loading up of our psyche begins. If, perhaps, we could stay completely in the feelings of living our life we would do well…

Getting Past the Struggles One Step at a Time Where did you come from? Perhaps the question is, who is this “you” we are talking about? Are we talking about your Soul as this “you?” If so, then perhaps we would talk about the journey of your Soul. And perhaps previous lives. The themes of your last several incarnations. Etc. Or perhaps we are talking about your ego. Well, that is quite a different conversation. For this moment, let’s look at your ego. Were your parents fully realized personifications of the Divine? In other words, were your parents without any karma or stigmas? Were your parents performing miracle after miracle as the saviors of the past have promised us all we would all eventually be able to do? My guess is probably … no. Certainly for me, no. My parents had plenty of struggles of their own. But here is…

Paint the Picture You Desire As You Wish There is a momentum of sorts. Living this human experience. We are all having a “normal” experience. Today might seem very familiar. Perhaps just like yesterday. It is at least normal to us. Yet, your normal day and my normal day can be completely different. We are all having our own unique experience(s) of life. Sure, there is a common set of experiences. Laughter is an example of similar experiences. Yet, the Guru and the Maniac live in the “same” world. What are your experiences of your life? Are there repetitive experiences that you don’t like? Perhaps you butt heads with someone at work. Or perhaps you and your spouse spar it out often. Arguing over this or that. Something you might not prefer. Or there is the notion of avoidance. You avoid the butthead at work or avoid arguments with your…

Feel the Rain From a drizzle to a downpour Have you ever been caught in the rain? I mean really drenched? Oh what a feeling! Have you ever been devastated by your emotions and feelings? Brought to your knees? Wiped out? If you don’t feel your feelings, when they are (rather) mild, like a drizzle, you will feel them later like a torrential downpour. We get ourselves stuck with our feelings and emotions when we start to posture with them. When we start to suppress them. When we start to avoid them. But perhaps the biggest karmic influence our emotions can have, is when we don’t even know the (subconscious) posture we have with them. Then we tend to accumulate more and more karmic energy within us. We tend to collapse our lives into deeper and deeper troughs of preferences. Avoiding whole arenas of options, choices, and thus outcomes. Collapsing…
