You are a product of Your Past Until You are not We humans are quite programmable. For many of us, perhaps the majority of us, we are easily programmed by others. But let’s just keep this conversation about You. You. Are you “programming” yourself? Are you able to “program” yourself? Perhaps we should get clear about this idea of “programming.” I have shared before how, many years ago, I watched a documentary on Lottery Winners. This show tracked 10 lottery winners over the course of many years. What I found very interesting is that 9 out of the 10 winners had gone back to their previous financial status. Except, by winning the lottery, their lives were devastated. Once they acquired a large sum of money, many of their main relationships fell apart, as money became a core element to how others saw them. In general, friends, family members and such…
Blame, itself, deserves the Blame Nobody’s fault but mine It can be easy to blame someone or something for your situation. I mean, if all three of your wives have cheated on you, then it must not be you. Or, all of my husbands have had an affair on me. So, it can’t be me … right? Many people want themselves “off the hook.” It’s not my fault. In other words, there seems to be a freedom in blaming others. Oh, did I say freedom? I meant prison. There is an aspect of karma that isn’t talked about very much. You get back what you put out. Perfect, then since I didn’t cheat on my partner, it must be their fault that they cheated on me. Sorry. It doesn’t work that way. We have a whole different side of ourselves. On one side, we have our “selves.” This is who…
Finding the Joy within Your Journey In Joy this Day Are you happy? Have you been happy recently? When was the last time you laughed? Really laughed? What are you waiting for? Often, we can put off our happiness and joy until something else happens. I will be happy after I … lose some weight, find a spouse, have more money, get a promotion, etc. Happiness has no conditions of its own. The more conditions you put on your happiness, the less of it you have. Happiness and Joy are reflections of your true nature. At your Soul level. You don’t need any thing to be happy. You are a timeless soul living out a lifetime. One of many lifetimes for your soul. Have you seen the pictures of children in third-world countries, that live with virtually nothing, and yet their smiles are broad and authentic? They don’t put any conditions…
To Change your Outside, Change your Inside What you experience is a reflection of You What we experience in our life, is our own reflection. In other words, how you experience your life is decided within yourself. What you are seeing, or rather experiencing, is determined by you. What your life looks like, as far as your karmic tendencies, is a reflection of your own personal energy. Inner chi. It is not that the external world is changing per se. But rather, your experience of it is changing. And none of it is personal. You can change how you experience your life all by yourself. If you were to metaphorically go into a cave, high in the Himalayan mountains, and meditated for a few decades and then came back out into the world, how you would experience that world would have changed. Your experience with your own life, is a…
Pick Your Reality Your Reality is a Reflection of You I had spent decades living out a “reality” that was not what I preferred. But I didn’t know the mechanism at the time. In other words, I had spent decades with unresolved energy, inner chi, in my psyche. A lot of energy, really. And this energy set me up to learn about my karma. I had no clue, at the time, that a lot of my day-to-day living was being dictated by subconscious elements of myself. Subconscious. Unknown to me. In that “reality,” my life before I was cracked open, my unresolved anger was deciding oh so much of my life. I know I keep using anger as an example, but that is the emotion that showed me the karmic mechanism in effect in my life. Anger, before I was cracked open, ensured that I would avoid any situation that…
It is not up to You You have no say in the matter The vast majority of your experience, what it feels like for you to be living your life right now, the vast majority of that, is totally out of your control. You couldn’t change it if you wanted to. Sure, yes, you can change your life. But the vehicle, the process, and all the elements involved in enabling you to have this experience, has nothing to do with you (as your ego). In other words, your body doesn’t need you (the ego). You can get knocked unconscious and your body goes on, until you return. The day you were born, you had a body, but didn’t have an ego. You, the ego, are not a required element for the existence of your body. Your mind, that your ego is running this narrative on right now, also existed the…
What Can You Imagine For Yourself? If you don’t believe it you will probably not see it. What do you believe is possible for your life? What? Could you be an … artist? Mountain climber? Welder? Healer? Author? Singer? Midwife? World traveler? Foster parent? Farmer? Cook? Race car driver? Etc. I am not suggesting you do something just to be busy. Or that you “need” to do it. It is always your call. I do think that we tend to settle in to a complacency or “normal” behavior. There are no requirements. You have free will. But then, your soul probably has a few hundred possibilities for your life. Most of which you might not ever consider. We tend to think in a linear fashion. Like a road map and a destination. We will go here, then we will go here, and then we will arrive. Linear thinking for our…
Getting Close to Heaven You will be there when Heaven arrives There are thousands of possible paths towards your future for you to choose from. Your future is wide open. In and of itself, consciousness has no boundaries. You, as a personality, are a pliable programmable vehicle of experience. You live in a world that was unimaginable not that long ago. You are who decides what will be, for you. To become (more) conscious of that will serve you well. Right now, where you stand, or sit, Jesus could arrive in the very same environment you are in now, and perform miracles. You live in the potentials of miracles yourself. In other words, when Jesus said, you will do everything I have done, and even more … it is you that decides how much, or how little, the universe responds to you. If you were to evolve your consciousness and…
You Decide It All You are the sole creator of your experience OK. So no. You, yourself, can’t put another three or four suns in the sky. OK, so no, you can’t add another dozen planets to the solar system. So no, you don’t decide it all. Not from the collective perspective. But, absolutely, you do decide it all when it comes to how you experience your “reality.” Gravity is impersonal. The mechanics of karma are impersonal. The mechanics of emotions are impersonal. The cycle of day and night are impersonal. Time is impersonal, etc. You, it is you, that decides how you experience these things. There is no built-in experience of “reality.” If there were, we would all experience everything the exact same way. It is truly a blessing that we decide it all. Earlier this year I spent seven weeks in the hospital. Five surgeries. Extreme pain for…
Coming Out of the Storm Healing Your Relationship with “Reality” So, how are you doing? How are you holding up in this sea of change? There is a connection, a bonding, of sorts. A karmic connection. A karmic bond, you might say, that connects us with our own “reality.” This connection is completely energetic … at first. Until it is not. We all have our own personal history. We all have our own personal karma. Unique to ourselves. Connecting us to our own personal human experience. This karmic connection is the most impersonal thing imaginable. Our connection to “reality” is a pliable and changeable aspect of ourselves. There are billions of variations of karma playing themselves out on Earth today. In other words, although we all live on the same planet, how we experience it is completely unique to ourselves. It is our karma that decides our experience. But even…
Up is Easier. Down is Harder. Which way are you headed? When we take on karma, we are “Going Down.” Not in value or worth. But in, perhaps, difficulties in our life. Perhaps you can imagine a war vet, loaded with PTSD, panhandling at the corner. Life, for him, is hard. Trying to get through the hour, or maybe even trying to get through the minutes. When we take on karma, we create a momentum of sorts. You might say a narrower karmic trajectory. Where “more of the same” is the name of the game. If we are souls, which we are, that have come here to learn and experience, which we have, “going down” is stepping into more difficult lessons for ourselves. In other words, when a soul incarnates into a challenging lifetime, very often that soul takes on more karma. Moving their overall vibration down. Or lower in…
